About Emma

Inspired by the old and giving new life to memories and printed matter Emma captures stolen moments and transforms them into printed visual memories.  The outcomes become snapshots and stolen scenes of a developing journey.

With her unique way of manipulating and applying her inks Emma’s work has been quoted as ‘A Visual Feast’ by Linda Goodman, Editor of Printworks Magazine.

No such thing as a day job…

Emma has injected her own youth and dynamism into developing The Gallery At Bank Quay House.  A strong figure in the North West arts scene, and at 26 she is one of Britain’s youngest curators developing and managing this inspiring artistic venue in Warrington driven by Python Properties.   Here Emma organisers exhibitions by both established artists and community art groups giving opportunities to unknown artists.

Emma is dedicated to volunteering her time assisting various art organisations in the North West. Emma is a studio manager at Hot Bed Press Printmakers in Salford where she teaches workshops, produces her own artwork, and assists with the running of the studios. Emma also volunteers her help at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, assisting with various aspects of design and exhibition planning.

Emma’s was the ‘instrumental’ cog behind the recent and first Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival.   For its inaugural year this festival has been a tremendous success with over 18,000 visits to the programmed events.

There were over 30 events that took place during this period and included the first Contemporary Open Art, exhibitions and workshops at both galleries, a film festival, dance and music. There were open studios and as well as public art events.  For more info visit www.warringtonartsfestival.co.uk
